Enemy Territory: ETkey/Guid

Many players with a new game installation have a problem that their XP-Save don't work on the servers.

This is caused due to the fact that EvenBalance has dropped support for Enemy Territory.

Evenbalance is the company that made the software program Punkbuster.

Evenbalance and Splashdamage did not make a statement why this happened.

Normally if players played on a Punkbuster enabled game server a guid was generated.

This was done by PB auth server.

With the PB auth server offline no new GUID's will be generated.

Because of this players can't save XP with a new guid.

You can check if you have a guid with the typing, /pb_myguid.

If you still have an older et setup, you still keep the guid, if you download a new ET game, it will be without guid.

Hunkmegs fail kicks

Players who have problem with hunkmeg failed kicks on some maps, try to type this in the console ~ and restart the game.
This will give the game a command to your pc, to use more ramm memory for the game.
Standard settings are 56mb, cos when Wolf ET was released most pc had no more than 512mb of ramm in it.
Its makes the game load a bit faster, and some new maps need more mb.
